“Cruce, dum spiro, fido, Deo duce, ferro comitante”

“While I breathe, I trust the cross, with God as my leader and my sword as my companion.”

(Battling Hedonism and Transgenderism a Millenium and More Ago)

I have been studying the Crusades for several months now and I’m discovering the real reasons why they were initiated, the numerous battles waged, and the courageous people who answered the call of Deus Vult. It has been enlightening, and I continue to encounter evidence that contradicts what modern academia, and the “experts” have been spewing forth for decades now. They were not about rapacity, bloodlust, or colonization, but in fact, were a call to combat that very thing being violently conducted by Muslims. I dare say, if it were not for the Crusades and associated defiance of Islamic aggression, all of us might very well be under the rule of sharia law. I will have more to reveal from this study and associated discoveries at a later time, but for now, I wanted to share one in particular which should intrigue you.

A document titled, The Apocalypse of Pseudo-Methodius was referenced in one of the tomes I have read. I have made it a practice to investigate an author’s references, because through them you can determine the veracity of the author’s work, and especially in the case of history, whether he is a true historian or merely expecting you to take his opinion as the grail of knowledge. Secondary source authors are not to be implicitly trusted; as in every facet of life, trust is earned. There is a plethora of false historians out there, John Esposito, and Karen Armstrong are two that come to mind, who tell history from a leftist perspective; in other words, far less than truthful. False history is what is primarily being taught in our universities, and it is no accident either. As the author George Orwell noted in his monumental prophetic work, 1984: “Who controls the past controls the future: who controls the present controls the past.”

I will state at the outset that there is a bit of controversy over, The Apocalypse of Pseudo-Methodius. For one, the authorship of the Syriac writing is questionable, hence the inclusion of the adjective, Pseudo in the title. The date it was penned was called into question by later scholars as well. The Apocalypse was initially believed to be from the 4th century, but careful study has placed it three centuries later, with a relatively hard date of 692. However, it is really irrelevant whether it was created in the 4th or 7th century, it is what was written about in the document all those years ago, that should pique one’s curiosity as it is more than relevant today.

Jesus’ death is placed at 33A.D. Christianity had flourished for 600 years, and it had spread over much of the then known world, including the Middle East and North Africa, which were in fact the heart of Christianity. A reread of the book of Acts and the New Testament epistles should refresh your memory regarding the travels of the apostles and the early churches they founded. Many of the early church fathers came from these areas such as Ignatius of Antioch, Ephrem the Syrian, and the great St. Augustine.

Things changed rapidly at the beginning of the 7th century though with the rise of the tribalistic ideology of Islam. Following the founder, Muhammed’s death in 632, a mere 100 years passed, and two thirds of the known Christian World had been conquered, including the Middle East and North Africa. By 732 Islamists had already swept through Spain and were waging war in France. Millions of Christians were slaughtered by Islamists as they raided across Christian lands. Those that survived the initial onslaught were often subjected to that which might be worse than death: rape, sodomy, slavery, and every cruelty the minds of men could dream up. In the hands of the Muslims, Christians had but three choices, convert to Islam, pay jizya, which is essentially a tax for being allowed to live, or fight Islam to the death.

Methodius declared in his message that the Islamic conquest and subjugation of the Christian nations was a direct result of sin, specifically sin committed by supposed Christians and those within their societies. What is striking is how the author notes the primary sins which brought the flames of hell upon these people. This seemingly unstoppable pestilence of Islamists, according to the writing, were being used as the instrument of God’s justice for the abominable sins of homosexuality, and promiscuity.

“…Not because the Lord God loves them does he give them power to conquer the land of the Christians, but because of the sin and the lawlessness which have been brought into being by them. For nothing like their sin has arisen nor will arise in all generations. Why? Men put on the apparel of adulterous and wanton women and adorned themselves as women and stood in the streets and squares of the cities openly and “did change the natural use into that which is against nature” as the Holy Apostle says. Likewise, women also did the same things as the men.” 11:5-6, The Apocalypse of Pseudo-Methodius

Let us not miss the fact that Methodious’ foretelling was a bit shortsighted. As we have witnessed in our own time, some 1400 years later, his statement that, “…nothing like their sin has arisen nor will arise in all generations,” has proven to be false. Indeed, those same sins have once again been resurrected and have apparently far exceeded those perversions of the 7th century. In our time, they have quite frankly been set up as something of a religion, the worship of a modern-day Aphrodite. As Solomon wrote, it seems there really is “…nothing new under the sun…”

I cannot but wonder, will God yet again empower an enemy to chasten our great nation like he did those of old? Will we and our progeny be forced to suffer because of the actions of a few? If this is our fate, we have no one to blame but ourselves. We have allowed corrupt politicians from the local level to the federal government to pander to the whims of this group and others. This tiny minority among us, which makes up about 1.5% of the population, has twisted and shaped the minds of the masses to believe it is okay to engage in what is contrary to nature itself. The practitioners of this particular sin have run ramped in our society to the degree that those who dare point out their delusion are dismissed as being phobic. We have let this fester to the point that those who mock God are now playing out their sin in front of our children.

The fact that 1400 years ago this particular sin was purported to be the main factor in God’s wrath should incite fear, as well as anger; it should ignite a fervent desire in each of us to overthrow those that support this agenda. We must wrest our nation from the hands of hedonists and take back control over it. But we must also bear in mind that we must love the individual who is caught up in this abomination, for they too have been lied to. The adage which instructs us to, “love the sinner but hate the sin comes to mind.” But I firmly believe there should be no energy wasted in attempting to understand or foster any compassion for the organizations or those elected officials who condone and actively promote this behavior.

It is time for the sleeper to awake.
